Granja Porcon
«Granja Percón» is the popular name of the «Cooperativa Agraria
Atahualpa Jerusalem», an evangelical community that, through reforestation
of around 10,000 hectares of the barren
high mountain landscape, achieved more efficient use of the land, improved
living conditions for wildlife and at the same time protected the
environment. The Granja Porcón has become an attractive destination for
tourists who also like to take agricultural and livestock products with
them. Also popular are the handicrafts and mini zoo with many animals that
are otherwise difficult to see.
