Programs with activities near the accommodation:
3 days / 2 nights –
Start: daily
• Reception at the airport in
Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the port at Tambopata, where a two-hour
boat trip to the lodge located at the entrance to the national reserve
begins. Wild animals can be observed here during the journey. Birds in
particular can be seen, such as jabirus and egrets on the banks, as well
as macaws, toucans and others that fly over the river. Mammals such as
capybara (capibara, ronsoco) and tapir can also occasionally be
seen,
and reptiles such as caimans and turtles, resting on the shore.
• After lunch and a short rest we take a hike in the area to observe the diverse flora and fauna. The trees, some of which are very old, some are more than 1000 years old, are home to birds such as macaws, partridges and toucans. From time to time the walkling tour is interrupted by iguanas and butterflies.
• After dinner, a night hike in search of insects, frogs, bats and the occasional other animal such as nocturnal monkeys.
• If you want, you can get up at 4:30 h to walk or take a boat to a small salt lick (Collpa) to observe parrots and macaws.
• After breakfast, a 15 minute boat ride and then a half hour walk to Tres Chimbadas Lake. Here we can observe a different flora and fauna: birds such as hoatzin, ducks, herons and kingfishers, some reptiles and mammals such as the large river otter. A family of otters has their home here and they are often seen.
• Return to the hostel for lunch and a rest.
• In the afternoon we roam the trails around the lodge observing flora and fauna.
• After dinner we track caimans near the Tambopata river.
• After breakfast boat trip to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport.
Program 2
4 days / 3 nights – Start: daily
• As program 1.
• After breakfast, a 15 minute boat ride and then a half hour walk to Tres Chimbadas Lake. Here we can observe a different flora and fauna: birds such as hoatzin, ducks, herons and kingfishers, some reptiles and mammals such as the large river otter. A family of otters has their home here and they are often seen.
• Return to the hostel for lunch and a rest.
• In the afternoon we roam the trails around the lodge observing flora and fauna.
• If you want, you can get up at 4:30 h to walk or take a boat to a small salt lick (Collpa) to observe parrots and macaws.
• After breakfast we visit an «Aguajal», a constantly flooded ecosystem. Here we find diverse palm trees, among which the Aguaje dominates. Their fruits attract many birds and mammals. This is also where the macaws breed, using holes in the palm trees for their nests. The anaconda, the largest snake in the Amazon basin, is also at home here, as are many owls.

Program 3
5 days / 4 nights – Start: daily
• As program 1.
• As program 1.
• After breakfast we first visit a mighty Lupuna and then a reforestation project with palm trees, fruit trees and medicinal plants of the area and the Amazon region.
• Lunch at the hostel and in the afternoon hike in the area, where we can mainly see birds, but also thousand-year-old trees.
• After breakfast we visit an «Aguajal», a constantly flooded ecosystem. Here we find diverse palm trees, among which the Aguaje dominates. Their fruits attract many birds and mammals. This is also where the macaws breed, using holes in the palm trees for their nests. The anaconda, the largest snake in the Amazon basin, is also at home here, as are many owls.

• After breakfast, a 2-hour boat ride upriver and then on foot to El Gato valley, where we can enjoy the waterfalls of this pretty landscape and take a swim. Hike in higher areas with diverse epiphytes, bromeliads and millennial brazil nut trees.
• In the afternoon return to the hostel.
• At night we track caimans near the Tambopata river.
• After breakfast boat trip to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport.
Program 5
4 days / 3 nights – Start: daily

Parrots and other birds are flying overhead more and more frequently, and the probability of spotting capybaras, caimans and other animals on the bank is increasing.
• We set up camp near the Collpa (salt lick) and await the next day's sunrise.
• At 5:00 h we get up and take our position to observe the collpa (salt lick). The Collpa is a cliff of red soil containing veins of mineral salts. For various animals such as parrots and macaws, these minerals are an important addition to their diet. In the early morning they arrive en masse and put on a colorful and noisy spectacle, rare in animal life.
• After that we drive back to the hostel.
• After dinner we track caimans near the Tambopata river.

Programm 7
5 days / 4 nights – Start: daily
• As program 1.

• At 05:00 h we get up and go to the salt lick to take our observation position. The spectacle of the birds lasts until about 09:00 h.
• Then we will go downstream for about 3 hours to the Collpa del Chuncho. Here we pitch our tents, roam through the forest and can fish.
• At 05:00 h we take our position for bird watching. This clay lick is frequented by other parrot and macaw species.
• Return to the lodge.

Program 8
6 days / 5 nights – Start: daily
• As program 1.
• Quite early we start a six-hour boat trip into the interior of the Tambopata Nature Reserve to the Collpa Colorada. On the way we observe the change of flora and fauna. Parrots and other birds are flying overhead more and more frequently, and the probability of spotting capybaras, caimans and other animals on the bank is increasing.
• We set up camp near the Collpa (salt lick) and await the next day's sunrise.
• At 5:00 h we get up and take our position to observe the collpa (salt lick). The Collpa is a cliff of red soil containing veins of mineral salts. • After that we drive back to the hostel.

• After breakfast boat trip to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport.
