• Ride to Chazuta, characterized by its strong identity and rich cultural heritage, manifested above all in the ceramics of its ancestors. The road ends here and the high-altitude jungle merges into the Amazon lowlands.
• Wasichay Ceramics Museum and workshop.
• Visit the Fundo Pasikiwi to get to know a cocoa plantation and taste its fruits.
• Visit to Mishky Cacao (Good Cacao), an association of women cocoa producers dedicated to the transformation and processing of artisanal cocoa products.
• Lunch.
• Coca route in Pumarinri.
• Overnight
at Pumarinri Lodge.
• Breakfast.
• Hike uphill to Mushuk Lamas, founded by former residents of Lamas
town. An experience that combines nature, landscapes and vibrant
cultures. The heights of the Cordillera Escalera offer impressive
views over the Huallaga river with the Cordillera Azul National
Park.
• Coffee is grown in the shady forests around Mushuk Lamas. The red
berries are harvested in these coffee plantations between February
and May.
• Overnight at Pumarinri Lodge.
• Breakfast.
• Hike through the jungle to the Pucayaquillo waterfalls.
• Lunch.
• Transfer to the airport.
• The day 3 hike to Mushuk Lamas can be changed for a coffee
tasting in Tarapoto.
