Island of Uros, Amantani and Taquile

Day 1: Island of Uros andAmantani

• Pick up from the hotel.

• Boat trip on Lake Titicaca to the floating islands of the Uros.

• Visit to two of the 90 floating islands.

• Continue by boat to the natural island of Amantani.

• Short walk uphill to islanders' homes.

• Typical lunch.

• Hike to the highest point of the island to get to know the Inca temples «Pachamama» and «Pachatata».

• Time to enjoy the view of the immense lake and watch one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

• Return to the residences and dinner.

• Optional welcome party with music, dance and dress typical of Amantani.

• Overnight in local houses.

Day 2: Taquile

• Typical breakfast.

• Boat trip to Taquile island.

• Short hike to the island's highest point to enjoy the view of the immense lake.

• Getting to know the islanders, their customs and the famous textiles they produce. Mainly men are engaged in spinning and weaving. Colors, size and use of the textiles indicate the marital status of the wearer on Taquile.

• Lunch.

• Return to Puno.
