The beaches in northern Peru are among the most beautiful on the long Peruvian coast. While further south the Humboldt Current leads to low water temperatures, the water in the north is consistently pleasantly warm (about 25 ºC) all year round. The weather is also warm and sunny all year round. Rainfall is very rare. Ideal conditions for lovers of beach life!
Many of these tropical beaches with installations and accommodations for all requirements invite you to linger and rest on the paradisiacal coast. Máncora and Punta Sal are the most famous beaches. But there is much more to do for the adventurous than enjoying the warm sun on the beach: • Fishing in the sea, just like Ernst Hemingway did here. • Visit the mangrove forests • or one of the many protected areas found here.
