• 09:00 h pick up from the hotel in Cusco.
• Driving west from Cusco on the way to the Sacred Valley, among mountains and cultivated fields we find the tranquil town of Maras, perched on the edge of the great valley and with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Characteristic of this place are its famous stone facades with heraldic coats of arms of the families who lived here. A little further are the «salt springs of the Incas». Salt is extracted from saline spring water in a terraced system by evaporation. There are about 3000 small pools built into the mountainside. The techniques used to extract salt are the same as they were 500 years ago.
• We continue on an old road through the fields of the plateau, which offers a good view of the Urubamba mountain range.
• Moray is located on a large plateau near the Urubamba Valley. It is a unique archaeological site with large circular terraces that appear to have served as an agricultural laboratory for the Incas.
• Lunch in Urubamba.
• On the way back, visit to Chincheros, known for its excellent textile artisans, many of whom still use ancient techniques in the manufacture of fine products. Colors and design define the personality of the village.
• At 17:00 return to the hotel.
