Chiclayo, Trujillo
Chiclayo and Trujillo are today the two largest and most modern cities on the coast of northern Peru. The cultures of the Mochicas and Chimus once developed here. Many remnants of this time can still be admired today: in Trujillo the world's largest clay city Chan Chan and the Huacas (pyramids) of the dragon, of the Sun and the Moon, «El Brujo» between Trujillo and Chiclayo and near Chiclayo Sipán, Sicán, Tucume and Batangrande.
Many items, especially ceramics, from those times have already been on display in the Brüning Museum this is how the recently opened museum «Tumbas Reales del Señor de Sipán» the past world of the "Lord of Sipán" presented in a particularly impressive way. It is considered one of the most modern museums in the world.
